Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons ghee
- 1 large onion diced
- 2 tablespoons grated ginger
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon mexican oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon each ground cinnamon and cardamom
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 4 chicken thighs bone in skin removed
How To Make turmeric braised chicken with onion and ginger

Step 1Remove the skin from the chicken. Season with salt and pepper and set aside.

Step 2Add the ghee to a large skillet with a lid. Add the onions and saute 5 minutes. Add the ginger, garlic, turmeric, oregano, cinnamon and cardamom. cook 1 minute until fragrant.

Step 3Add the wine and bring to a boil scrapping bottom of pan. Add the chicken and 1 cup of water. Bring to a simmer and cover

Step 4Simmer for about 20 minutes until no longer pink. The sauce will thicken when cooked. Serve the chicken with the sauce.
