Tonkatsu is a Japanese style BBQ sauce. Makes a luscious chicken. Be sure to have plenty of napkins

Slow Cooker Crock Pot



  • 1 clove
  • 4 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp
    grated fresh ginger
  • 5 clove
    garlic minced

  • 6
    chicken thighs
  • ·
    salt and pepper

  • ·
    toasted sesame seeds

How to Make Tonkatsu Glazed Crock Pot Chicken Thighs


  1. Mix all ingredients together for Tonkatsu Sauce. Set in refrigerator and let flavor mingle.
  2. Salt and pepper the chicken thighs and lay them in a single layer in a large slow cooker. cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours. Half way through cooking add half of the Tonkatsu sauce and continue cooking.
  3. Once chicken is done remove from slow cooker and place on a baking sheet. Cover with the remaining tonkatsu sauce. Place under the broiler and broil watching carefully until the top of the chicken is browned and sauce thickened. About 5 minutes. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds.
