The Ultimate Pan-Fried Chicken or Pork Sandwich

Andy Anderson !

Believe it or not, I came up with the idea for this sandwich while watching an insurance commercial. This dude was eating this great-looking sandwich, and I paused it, and back played it several time, until I figured out what I wanted to do.

Is it the same sandwich… probably not. But it looks pretty much the same.

So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

  • 2Gather your ingredients (oops forgot the image… my bad).
  • 3Cook the bacon in a sauté pan over medium heat until crispy.
  • 4Remove the bacon and reserve.
  • 5Add the flour, salt, pepper, cumin, cayenne, and paprika to a small bowl.
  • 6Add the chicken or pork to the mixture, and thoroughly coat.
  • 7Place the chicken or pork in the pan with the bacon grease, and cook over medium heat until browned and toasty, about 5 minutes per side.
  • 8Chef's Note: Remove from the pan, and slice into thick pieces.
  • 9Brush the melted butter on both sides of the bread and toast in the same pan that you used to cook the bacon, and the chicken.
  • 11Spread a generous amount of your favorite sauce to one side of each piece of the toasted bread.
  • 12Chef's Note: This is the sauce I use: Andy’s Not So Secret… Secret Sauce

  • 19Add the bacon.
  • 20Top with other slice of toasted bread, and cut in half.
