Just going through my pantry and decided to use up some ramen noodles packages hanging around. This is sweet with some heat and delicious. Also super easy

Ingredients

  • 2
    boneless skinless chicken
  • 1/2 c
    each sweet soy sauce, and saki
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar and oyster sauce
  • 2 tsp
    cornstarch
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • 3 pkg
    oriental or chicken ramen noodles
  • 6 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    each sake and bottled thai sweet chili
  • 1/4 c
    fish sauce
  • 1 large
    carrot julienned
  • 1 bunch
    scallions chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    ginger paste

How to Make Thai Sweet Chili Ramen with Char Siu Chicken

Step-by-Step

  1. Chop the chicken into bite size pieces. Mix the next six ingredients together and pour over chicken pieces and let marinated 2 hours.
  2. In large pot add a little oil and saute the scallions and onion for 2 minutes. Add the water, seasoning packets from ramen packages, sake, fish sauce, Thai sweet chili, and ginger paste. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer and simmer 10 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile place the chicken with the marinade in a non stick pan. Cook until chicken begins to cook and sauce is thickened. Remove from heat. Add to the ramen water. Bring back to a boil and add noodles. Cook for 4 minutes. Serve
