Just going through my pantry and decided to use up some ramen noodles packages hanging around. This is sweet with some heat and delicious. Also super easy

Ingredients For thai sweet chili ramen with char siu chicken

  • 2
    boneless skinless chicken
  • 1/2 c
    each sweet soy sauce, and saki
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar and oyster sauce
  • 2 tsp
    cornstarch
  • 4 clove
    garlic minced
  • 3 pkg
    oriental or chicken ramen noodles
  • 6 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    each sake and bottled thai sweet chili
  • 1/4 c
    fish sauce
  • 1 lg
    carrot julienned
  • 1 bunch
    scallions chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    ginger paste

How To Make thai sweet chili ramen with char siu chicken

    Chop the chicken into bite size pieces. Mix the next six ingredients together and pour over chicken pieces and let marinated 2 hours.

    In large pot add a little oil and saute the scallions and onion for 2 minutes. Add the water, seasoning packets from ramen packages, sake, fish sauce, Thai sweet chili, and ginger paste. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer and simmer 10 minutes.

    Meanwhile place the chicken with the marinade in a non stick pan. Cook until chicken begins to cook and sauce is thickened. Remove from heat. Add to the ramen water. Bring back to a boil and add noodles. Cook for 4 minutes. Serve
