Ingredients

  • 4
    chicken breast halves, skinless and boneless
  • 1 1/2 c
    picante sauce or thick and chunky salsa
  • 3 Tbsp
    packed light brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    dijon-style mustard

How to Make Texas Two-Step Chicken Picante

Step-by-Step

  1. Place chicken in a 2-quart shallow baking dish. Mix picante sauce, sugar and mustard. Pour over chicken.
  2. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink.

    Serve with hot cooked rice if desired.
