Ingredients

  • 4 - chicken breast halves, skinless and boneless
  • 1 1/2 cups picante sauce or thick and chunky salsa
  • 3 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon dijon-style mustard

How To Make texas two-step chicken picante

  • Step 1
    Place chicken in a 2-quart shallow baking dish. Mix picante sauce, sugar and mustard. Pour over chicken.
  • Step 2
    Bake at 400 for 20 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink. Serve with hot cooked rice if desired.
