I "adopted" this recipe, but will gladly claim it as my own because it's so danged good! Did some tweakin', did some eatin' and now I love this recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup tequila
  • 1/2 cup lime juice, freshley squeezed
  • 1/2 cup orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 - jalapejo pepper, seeded and monced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 - chicken breasts, boneless, skinless

How To Make tequlia lime chicken a la chip

  • Step 1
    Combine tequila, lime juice, orange juice, chili powder, jalapeno, garlic, salt and pepper in a zippered plastic bag. Mix well.
  • Step 2
    Add chicken breasts to the mix. Seal and refrigerate overnight or at at least 8 hours.
  • Step 3
    Cook chicken on a hot grill until browned, about 15-20 minutes. You could also sear chicken in a pan and finish off in a 350 oven for about 10 minutes.
