I found this recipe on a bottle of Heinz 57 sauce, which was on the table, while waiting for this chicken in a restaurant. So I tried it at home and it was the exact dish. Unbelievable. This is quick to fix and very good.

2 - 21/2 lb
chicken pieces
2 Tbsp
1/2 c
heinz 57 sauce
1/2 c
water (i use white wine)


1Brown chicken pieces in butter (I add a little olive oil to the pan also). Drain fat (I don't).
2Combine the Heinz 57 sauce with the water or wine and mix up good.
3Pour over the chicken, cover and simmer about 40 to 45 minutes til done. After half of the time I turn the chicken pieces over.
4Remove cover and simmer additional 10 minutes.
