tangy baked chicken (aka michael's favorite chicken)

This is one of my son, Michael's favorite dishes. As a matter of fact, requested it so much when he was younger that we refer to it as Michael's Favorite Chicken. It is one of those finger lickin good meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle 1890 french dressing (or any ketchup based french dressing)
  • 1 jar apricot preserves
  • 1 package dry onion soup mix
  • 3 1/2 pounds chicken parts

How To Make tangy baked chicken (aka michael's favorite chicken)

  • Step 1
    Place chicken parts in a large baking pan.
  • Step 2
    Mix all ingredients together and pour over chicken.
  • Step 3
    Cover with aluminum foil and marinate for at least 2 hours - over night is good.
  • Step 4
    Bake covered at 350 degrees for one hour and then bake uncovered at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Skim grease off the top of sauce.
  • Step 6
    I usually serve this with rice. The sauce is so good over rice.
