Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken wings
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 - inch piece of ginger sliced
- 6 cloves garlic cut in half
- 1/2 cup shaoxing wine or sherry
- 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon regular soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 - scallions large dice
- - handful cilantro for garnish
How To Make taiwanese three cup chicken wings

Step 1Add sesame oil and butter to a large skillet. Add the ginger and garlic pieces and let cook 1 minute over medium high heat. Add the chicken pieces and brown on all sides. Add the wine and scrap up any bits on bottom of pan and let most evaporate. Mix the dark soy sauce regular soy sauce and brown sugar together. Pour over chicken and turn heat to Medium low. Place lid and cook for about 10 minutes until the chicken is no longer pink.

Step 2With slotted spoon remove and discard the ginger and garlic pieces. Add the large dice scallion and get a little char on them.

Step 3Serve garnished with cilantro.
