In the winter i use frozen mixed peppers with onion and in the summer i use fresh peppers and onion so you can make this all year long.If using frozen you won't need the 3/4 cup of water only a 1/3cup as the frozen has water in them as they cook.The white salsa I use I get at walmart it is their great value brand

3 medium
chicken breast
3 medium
flour tortillas lightly browned
4 oz
sour cream light or regular both work
1 bottle
of a 8 oz of pace chunky salsa
1 bottle
15.5 oz of white salsa con queso
1 pkg
fresh or frozen mixed peppers with onion
1 pkg
8 oz shredded taco cheese
1 pkg
taco seasoning
3/4 c
water or 1/3 cup see notes
2 tsp
canola oil


1preheat oven to 400 Before cooking chicken I lightly brown tortillas in skillet then I add oil then fry chicken till done,then add peppers cook till tender add taco seasoning and water cook till thick turn off stove
2in a 9 by 9 pan I start layering with the chunky salsa,sour cream and white salsa then tortilla,chicken and last cheese keep doing this and end with the cheese.. Bake 20 mins uncovered
