This is a result of an "experiment" in my kitchen today. I made spanish rice to go with it. My neighbors loved it, and I hope you do too!

  • 1-2 Whole
    boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tsp
    oregano
  • 1/2 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2 Tbsp
    milk

How to Make Taco Chicken

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut the chicken into strips 2-3 inches wide like chicken tenders.
  2. In a one gallon zip bag, combine flour, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, oregano, paprika, ground cumin, salt, and pepper.In a medium sized bowl, beat the eggs with the milk.
  3. Dip two pieces at a time in the egg mixture, then shake them in the flour mixtures to coat. Place on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil that you sprayed with cooking spray or lightly greased.
  4. Bake for about 8 minutes, then turn each piece over and bake for about another 8 minutes or until done.
