Delicious Rawspicebar's SZECHUAN CHICKEN recipe. A healthier, authentic version of Szechuan chicken, ready in under 20 minutes with freshly ground Chinese five spice powder.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon rawspicebar's chinese five spice powder
  • 3 tablespoons dark sesame oil, divided
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons chile sauce
  • 2 teaspoons corn starch
  • kosher salt, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil, divided
  • 1 pound boneless chicken breast, cut into pieces
  • 1 yellow & red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup snow peas, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups cooked rice, hot
  • 1/4 cup scallions, diced
  • 1/4 cup peanuts

How To Make szechuan chicken

  • Step 1
    Combine 2 tbsp sesame oil, Chinese five spice powder, broth, soy sauce, rice vinegar, chile sauce and cornstarch in a small bowl.
  • Step 2
    Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Add canola oil and heat. Add chicken, stir-fry 2 minutes. Remove chicken from pan.
  • Step 3
    Add more canola oil and heat in skillet. Add bell peppers, ginger, garlic, snow peas and onion and stir fry, 4-5 minutes. Add broth mix, cook 1-2 minutes. Add chicken to pan and cook through, 4-5 minutes. Serve with rice & enjoy!
