sweet & sour sauce for chicken
My family really likes this sauce. It can be used on baked or grilled chicken or even in a chicken stir fry. It's so easy to prepare and tastes delicious mixed into couscous with stir fried veggies.

Ingredients
- 8 ounces can crushed pineapple in its own juice
- 1/2 cup jellied cranberry sauce
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate, undiluted
- 1 tablespoon white wine or sherry
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
How To Make sweet & sour sauce for chicken

Step 1Drain the juice from the pineapple into a small saucepan; set aside the pineapple.

Step 2Put saucepan over medium heat and whisk in cranberry sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, orange juice, wine, soy sauce, and ginger.

Step 3Put the cornstarch in a cup or small bowl; add the water, stirring to dissolve. Whisk into juice mixture.

Step 4Increase heat to medium-high, cook for 3-4 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.

Step 5Remove from heat, stir in pineapple.

Step 6**Use to baste chicken wile grilling or pour over chicken, cover and bake. Also can be used in stir fries or spooned over vegetable couscous or rice dishes.
