sweet and spicey hot wings

Our family loves hot wings...all types. This is my recipe which is a combination of spice with a little sweetness. They make good appetizers or snacks with a salad. Good for a game crowd and easily prepared. Grill, fry or prepare chicken wings in the oven.

Ingredients

  • 2 to 4 pounds chicken wings
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 6 ounces bottle louisiana hot sauce
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup lawry's sesame and ginger marinade
  • 1/4 teaspoon italian herb seasoning
  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • - pinch or two of salt to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • - oil (for frying only)

How To Make sweet and spicey hot wings

  • Step 1
    Prepare chicken wings by frying in hot oil until cooked through. Place on a baking sheet and baste with sauce. Cook in a 350 degree oven for 15-20 minutes. You can also put the wings on the grill and baste with the sauce halfway through grilling process; or place on a baking sheet, baste wings with sauce and cook in the oven for 40 - 45 minutes until cooked through.
  • Step 2
    Sauce: Combine all ingredients into a a sauce pan. Cook, stirring frequently, for 25 minutes. Baste chicken wings with sauce.
