Ingredients

  • 2 - 3 pounds boneless chicken breasts
  • 8 ounces russian salad dressing
  • 1 package onion soup mix, dry
  • 1/2 jar (18 oz.) apricot preserves

How To Make sweet and sour chicken

  • Step 1
    Combine dressing, soup mix, and preserves in mixing bowl. Set aside. Place chicken pieces (can use whole cut-up chicken), single layer in shallow baking dish. Pour dressing mixture over chicken and spread out evenly. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Baste chicken occasionally with the pan drippings. Cover loosely with foil if top of chicken begins to get too brown before the chicken is done. Serve with rice using the mixture from chicken as gravy. Very good!
