This is an old family recipe from my mom. Great for a crowd and easy to make.

Ingredients

10
chicken wings, legs, breasts what ever you like
8 oz
crushed pineapple
2 Tbsp
cornstarch
3/4 c
granulated sugar
1/2 c
soy sauce
1/4 c
apple cider vinegar
1 clove
garlic-crushed
1/2 tsp
ginger
1/4 tsp
pepper

How to Make Sweet and Sour Chicken

Step-by-Step

  • 1Heat oven 350. Place chicken skin side down in baking dish. Drain pineapple saving juice. Set pineapple aside. In saucepan combine pineapple juice,cornstarch, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger and pepper.
  • 2Cook over med heat stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Pour over chicken in pan. Bake for 30 minutes basting often. After 30 minutes turn chicken skin side up and add crushed pineapple on top. Bake another 30 minutes basting often.
  • 3You can serve over rice or noodles. We like it just the way it is.
