sweet and sour chicken
(1 RATING)
One of my very first dishes I ever made many years ago and was very successful! Serve it with corn fritters for a nice alternative. I can post the recipe for the fritters later.

How To Make sweet and sour chicken
-
Step 1Heat the oil, and sauté the crushed garlic. Coat the chicken with the flour and seasoning, and fry until browed on all sides. If preferred, the chicken may be cut into neat cubes before cooking.
-
Step 2Lower the heat, add pineapple pieces, grapes and ginger. Continue cooking over low heat for 15-20 minutes, or until tender.
-
Step 3For the sauce, blend all ingredients together, put into a pan, and boil for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly. Garnish the chicken with pineapple and ginger and serve with the sauce (or you can pour the sauce over the chicken so that it absorbs all that goodness!)
