Ingredients
- 2 pounds chicken pieces
- 8 ounces pineapple chunks
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 1 large onion
- 1 - green bell pepper
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
How To Make sweet and sour chicken

Step 1Drain pineapple, reserving syrup.

Step 2In skillet brown chicken in shortening.

Step 3Pour off fat.

Step 4Add reserved syrup, broth, brown sugar, vinegar, soy sauce and garlic.

Step 5Cover and cook over low heat 40 minutes.

Step 6Add green pepper amd pineapple cook 5 minutes.

Step 7Combine cornstarch and water gradually stir into sauce.
