sweet italian sausage, no casings
2 large
onions, sliced
2 small
green peppers, chopped
3 ribs
celery, sliced
2 c
frozen peas, thawed
4 c
2 c
instant rice
1 pkg
dehydrated chicken noodle soup
scallions, sliced

How to Make St. Paul's Rice


  • 1In a large nonstick skillet, brown sausage over medium high heat. Add onions, celery & peas to skillet. Over medium heat, cook, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are tender & sausage is cooked through, about 15 - 20 minutes.
  • 2Meanwhile, in medium pot, bring water, rice & dehydrated soup to boil; reduce heat to medium. Simmer until rice & noodles are tender, about 7 minutes, adding additional water if needed.
  • 3Combine rice mixture & sausage mixture & serve topped with scallions.
