spicy chipolte marinade

My husband loved it, but I used almost 3 chipoltes and it was a bit too spicy for him. So I scaled it back to make it more pleasing to the pallet. I hope you enjoy it :)

Ingredients

  • 1-2 - chipoltes in adobo sauce
  • 1/2 - shallot, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon red curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 - lime, juiced
  • zest - 1/2 of the lime
  • zest - 1/2 of an orange
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons vegtable or olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon adobo sauce (optional)

How To Make spicy chipolte marinade

  • Step 1
    Chop chipoltes, shallots and garlic into small pieces. Place in a bowl, add the other dry ingredients,zest 1/2 the lime and 1/2 the orange, squeeze the juice from 1 lime add the oil and the salt and pepper and whisk together. You can add the adobo sauce after you whisk it together if you want a little more kick to the marinade.
  • Step 2
    Pour marinade in a plastic resealable bag add meat and marinade for 1-2 hours. Enjoy :)
