My husband loved it, but I used almost 3 chipoltes and it was a bit too spicy for him. So I scaled it back to make it more pleasing to the pallet. I hope you enjoy it :)

Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

1-2
chipoltes in adobo sauce
1/2
shallot, chopped
1 clove
garlic, minced
1 tsp
cinnamon
1 tsp
red curry powder
1 tsp
worcestershire sauce
1
lime, juiced
zest
1/2 of the lime
zest
1/2 of an orange
salt and pepper to taste
3 Tbsp
vegtable or olive oil
1 Tbsp
adobo sauce (optional)

How to Make Spicy Chipolte Marinade

Step-by-Step

  • 1Chop chipoltes, shallots and garlic into small pieces. Place in a bowl, add the other dry ingredients,zest 1/2 the lime and 1/2 the orange, squeeze the juice from 1 lime add the oil and the salt and pepper and whisk together. You can add the adobo sauce after you whisk it together if you want a little more kick to the marinade.
  • 2Pour marinade in a plastic resealable bag add meat and marinade for 1-2 hours. Enjoy :)
