One of the meals I loved as a child, soy chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans!

Ingredients

9 oz
chicken wings, fresh or frozen (thawed)
~ 1 c
water
1 Tbsp
chopped scallion
1" piece
fresh ginger root, cut into slices
2 1/2 Tbsp
soy sauce, light or dark
1 tsp
sugar

Step-By-Step

1Wash chicken wings.
2In small pan, bring water to boil.
3Add chicken, scallion and ginger root; bring back to boil.
4Add soy and sugar.
5Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
6Remove chicken from any remaining liquid and serve hot.
