One of the meals I loved as a child, soy chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans!

Ingredients

  • 9 ounces chicken wings, fresh or frozen (thawed)
  • ~ 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon chopped scallion
  • 1" piece - fresh ginger root, cut into slices
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce, light or dark
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

How To Make soy chicken wings

  • Step 1
    Wash chicken wings.
  • Step 2
    In small pan, bring water to boil.
  • Step 3
    Add chicken, scallion and ginger root; bring back to boil.
  • Step 4
    Add soy and sugar.
  • Step 5
    Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Step 6
    Remove chicken from any remaining liquid and serve hot.
