Southern Style Fried Chicken
1 Tbspcajun seasoning
1 Tbspgarlic powder
1 tspground thyme
1 tspblack pepper
6chicken thighs bone in and skin on
·oil for deep frying
How to Make Southern Style Fried Chicken
- Place the flour and seasonings into a large baggie.
Whisk the eggs together.
Toss the chicken pieces one at a time in the baggie of flour. lay them on a wax paper lined sheet.
- When all have been coated with flour take them one at a time and dip them in the egg mixture then back in the flour until well coated. Lay them back on the sheet pan.
- Set them in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Bring the oil up to 350 degrees.
Cook the chicken a couple of pieces at a time for 6 to 8 minutes. Remove and set on a paper towel lined sheet. Repeat until all the chicken is done and let them rest for 10 minutes to complete the cooking.
