Ingredients
- 8 - chicken, legs or thighs
- 2 - eggs
- 4 cups buttermilk
- 3 cups self- rising flour with salt & pepper to taste
- 8 ounces vegetable oil (or oil of your choice)
How To Make southern fried chicken

Step 1Wash chicken and set aside on paper towels

Step 2In a large bowl beat eggs

Step 3Pour buttermilk into a 9x13 baking dish; add beaten eggs and mix together.

Step 4Put chicken into buttermilk mixture.

Step 5Marinate chicken 2 hours, or over night if you prefer.

Step 6Roll each chicken piece in the flour. Place chicken into hot oil in a deep skillet without crowding. Fry 7 to 8 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Step 7Chicken can be baked in a 350 oven in a heavy skillet, using 1/2 inch or less oil, for 15 minutes each side.
