This is a marinade that we love on our chicken wings. I've tweaked it over the years. You can also use this marinade on any chicken, not just wings and it's also good on pork. Enjoy!!

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds chicken wings
  • 12 ounces soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup liquid smoke flavoring
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon louisiana hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tabasco sauce
  • 2 teaspoons finely minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

How To Make smokey chicken wings

  • Step 1
Mix all ingredients, except wings, in a large plastic container that has a tight lid. Add wings (not frozen!!!) and toss around in the container so all the wings get covered with marinade and marinate in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Cook on the grill on indirect heat (not on hot coals) for approximately 1 to 1-1/2 hours. If you want to use some of the marinade for basting, just put some aside BEFORE you add the chicken. Discard marinade that has been used on the chicken.
