- 6 bone in chicken thighs
- 1 medium onion diced
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/3 can brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon each chili powder, lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons water
- fresh basil for garnish

Step 1Place onions and garlic in bottom of slow cooker. Arrange the chicken on top. Mix the ketchup, brown sugar, chili powder, lemon juice, salt and pepper together and pour over top,

Step 2Cook on low for 5 hours. Remove the chicken to a serving plate. Place the cooking liquid in a saucepan. Mix the cornstarch and water together.

Step 3Bring the liquid to a boil. Whisk in the cornstarch mixture to thicken. Serve the sauce over the chicken and garnish with fresh basil
