Ingredients

    chicken thighs, bone-in (bone gives extra flavor)
  • 1 large
    onion, sliced thin
  • 1/2 c
    green peppers, diced
  • 1 c
    celery, sliced
  • 1 tsp
    garlic, minced (minced garlic in a jar saves time)
  • 1 can(s)
    tomato paste
  • 2 can(s)
    tomatoes, diced
  • 1 can(s)
    mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 c
    marsala wine
  • 1/2 c
    chicken broth
  • 1 tsp
    oregano, dried
  • 1/2 tsp
    rosemary, dried
  • 2
    bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp
    red pepper flakes (per taste)
  • ·
    pasta or rice cooked per manufacturer's directions

How to Make Slow-cooker Chicken Cacciatore

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all ingredients (excluding chicken) in slow-cooker and mix well. Push chicken into mix and cover completely. Cook on low for 7-8 hours or high 3 1/2-4 hours. Serve over pasta or rice.
