slow cooker chicken cacciatore
I came up with this last Sunday when I needed an easy fix for chicken. Turned out GREAT! Family loved it! Served it with a salad & broccoli.

Ingredients
- 4 - chicken breast halves, skinless and boneless (or 1.5 lb chicken tenders)
- 1 can 28 oz, petite diced tomatoes
- 1 can water (rinse the tomato can)
- 1 - envelope lipton savory herb & garlic soup mix
- 1 - green pepper, chopped
- 1 - onion, thinly sliced
- 1 - bag, boil-in-bag rice
- - shredded mozzerella cheese, for sprinkling
- - grated parmesan cheese, for garnish
- - cornstarch for thickening, if desired
How To Make slow cooker chicken cacciatore

Step 1Put everything but rice in slow cooker. Cook on high for 4 hours total.

Step 2with 30 minutes left to cook, put the boil-in-bag of rice in slow cooker. Make sure it is completely covered with liquid.

Step 3Remove rice bag to plate/serving dish. Mix cornstarch with water and add to liquid to thicken, if desired.

Step 4Serve over rice and sprinkle cheeses on top.
