Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore
4chicken breast halves, skinless and boneless (or 1.5 lb chicken tenders)
1 can(s)28 oz, petite diced tomatoes
1 can(s)water (rinse the tomato can)
1envelope lipton savory herb & garlic soup mix
1green pepper, chopped
1onion, thinly sliced
1bag, boil-in-bag rice
·shredded mozzerella cheese, for sprinkling
·grated parmesan cheese, for garnish
·cornstarch for thickening, if desired
How to Make Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore
- Put everything but rice in slow cooker. Cook on high for 4 hours total.
- with 30 minutes left to cook, put the boil-in-bag of rice in slow cooker. Make sure it is completely covered with liquid.
- Remove rice bag to plate/serving dish. Mix cornstarch with water and add to liquid to thicken, if desired.
- Serve over rice and sprinkle cheeses on top.
