Ingredients

boneless chicken breasts
1/2 c
barbecue sauce
1 to 2
apples, peeled and grated
1
lemon, juiced
6 to 8 slice
bacon
2 to 3
sweet potatoes
1 c
chopped frozen broccoli

How to Make Slow Cooker Bacon Wrapped Apple Barbeque Chicken

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a small bowl, combine barbeque sauce with grated apple and lemon juice.
  • 2Wrap 2 pieces of bacon around each chicken breast. Place chicken breasts in base of crock pot, pour barbeque sauce over the chicken. Set to low and cook for 8 hours.
  • 3Slit sweet potatoes with a knife or vent with a fork. Bake sweet potatoes at 350 for 1 hour in baking dish with 1/4 inch water.
  • 4Cover with foil. Remove and let cool about 10 minutes. Peel skins off of the potatoes and mash. Serve with cinnamon and butter if you like (i also put some brown sugar on mine).
  • 5Cook frozen broccoli as directed on package and serve with the chicken and sweet potatoes.
