sinful honey mustard chicken
This is a recipe that I had to figure out how to make because it was my favorite at a restaurant that was near where I used to live. When I moved I couldn't find anything to match it anywhere around, so I had to make my own. Most people like this one better!

Ingredients
- 2-3 large chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive or safflower oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 2-3 tablespoons honey mustard dipping sauce (ken's is best)
- 1 medium onion, chopped in large pieces
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 cup precooked crumbled bacon
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Step 1Heat skillet over medium flame. Add oil when hot. Then fry chicken breast until browned on both sides. Remove from skillet to a plate cover with foil to keep warm.

Step 2Remove oil from pan. Heat pan add water to deglaze the pan. Add the honey mustard sauce. When the honey mustard is completely stirred in, pour the sauce over the cooked chicken. Wash out the skillet before the next step.

Step 3Preheat oven to 450 F. Heat skillet over medium flame. Add oil when hot. Cook onions until soft. Add mushrooms to skillet, cook until soft (may add more oil if necessary). Then add the bacon.

Step 4Place chicken on a baking pan.

Step 5The sauce that is left over on the plate should then be added to the skillet with the onion mixture. Cook the mixture and sauce until it has thickened.

Step 6Pour the onion and sauce mixture over the chicken making sure that most of the onion mixture is on top of the breasts.

Step 7Cook the breast in the oven for about 15 minutes or until onion mixture is a crispy brown color.

Step 8Sprinkle the cheeses over the top of the chicken and continue cooking for another 5 minutes so that all the cheese is melted. Serve hot.
