simple and tasty chicken gravy

I had never been able to master making gravy with stock, until now. I have come up with a chicken gravy recipe that will knock your socks off. Enjoy with chicken & biscuits, potatoes, or meatloaf. *** If your gravy is too spicy, just add a little more milk (possibly more thickening agent; if you need to add more than a half cup).

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 1 tablespoon chicken base
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper

How To Make simple and tasty chicken gravy

  • Step 1
    In a small saucepan, combine chicken stock, water, and chicken base. Bring mixture to a boil (about 5 minutes).
  • Step 2
    Combine Milk and cornstarch; stir until completely dissolved. Add to boiling chicken stock; should thicken almost immediately. Stir continually for about three minutes.
  • Step 3
    Add garlic and white pepper to taste. Remove from heat and serve topped over your favorite potatoes, chicken, or biscuits.
