Shredded Chicken-or Turkey sandwiches
I hear that canned chicken is hard to find in some areas-you may have to poach and shred about 4 small chicken breasts. They are good topped with a slice of cheese also.
I love to put some chips on it for extra crunch :)
28 ozcanned chicken or turkey
1 can(s)cream of mushroom soup
1 can(s)cream of chicken soup
1 boxstuffing mix, chicken
1/4 cchicken broth
1 Tbsponion powder
1/4 tspblack pepper
How to Make Shredded Chicken-or Turkey sandwiches
- Preheat oven to 350. Open the canned chicken and pour off all the broth into a container, keep it for later use. Put the chickenn in a 2 quart casserole dish and shred it with a fork. Add the rest of the ingredients, except for the buns and stir well. If it looks dry, add a bit more broth. It should be somewhat soupy as the stuffing will plump while cooking.
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes. Let cool about 5 minutes and serve on buns.
