"shirley buns"!

I got this recipe from my mother-in-law. She said her friend Shirley use to make these when the ladies would get together and play the card game "Whisk", so she always called them Shirley buns when she would make them at home. Very easy and tasty recipe. you could add other fillings like ham and cheese , sausage, ect. give them a try along with a salad and you have an easy meal!!

Ingredients

  • 1 - loaf frozen wheat bread dough (thawed)
  • 1 pound hamburger
  • 1 large onion
  • - cabbage, shredded

How To Make "shirley buns"!

  • Step 1
    Fry hamburger, onions and cabbage. Cut bread dough into 8 pieces.
  • Step 2
    Roll each piece of dough into a round, small dinner plate size. Place a good amount of the hamburger mixture on each piece of flatten dough, fold over and crimp edges
  • Step 3
    Place on a slightly greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes.
