sesame noodles

I love all the flavors in this recipe for Sesame Noodles. Although some may like to eat this cold, I prefer to eat mine hot. Just feels more like a meal to that way. I also add chicken and some vegetables at times to give it more a main dish meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound udon noodles/chinese noodles/thin spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon dark sesame oil
  • 5 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chinese chili sauce or hot chili oil
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 4 - green onions, sliced thin
  • 5 tablespoons sesame seeds (optional garnish)

How To Make sesame noodles

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients except noodles and sesame seeds. Over medium heat stir sauce until heated.
  • Step 2
    Cook noodles according to package directions, drain pasta into large bowl and add heated sauce. You can add your chicken and vegetables and this time as well. Toss until pasta is well coated, sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.
