2 Tbsp
soy sauce
1 Tbsp
dry sherry
1/4 tsp
sesame oil
2 Tbsp
each flour, cornstarch and water
boneless skinless chicken breast cut into 1 inch cubes
oil for deep frying


1 1/2 c
chicken stock
2 Tbsp
chinese black vinegar or white vinegar if you cant get a hold of chinese black vinegar
1 c
brown sugar
1/4 c
2 Tbsp
soy sauce
2 tsp
sesame oil
2 tsp
garlic chili paste
2 Tbsp
toasted sesame seeds (optional)
1/4 c
fresh cilantro chopped (optional)

How to Make Sesame Chicken


  • 1Combine the 2 tbsp soy sauce, dry sherry, 1/4 tsp sesame oil, flour, cornstarch and water together. Mix well stir in chicken cover and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  • 2Heat deep fryer to 375 degrees.
  • 3Meanwhile combine all ingredients for sauce together in a med saucepan. bring to a boil stirring constantly reduce to a simmer and simmer on low until thickened and warm though. Keep warm
  • 4Cook the chicken in batches in deep fryer. Drain on paper towels. Pour sauce over top sprinkle with sesame seeds if using them or cilantro. Serve over rice.
