I have made this dish a few times and have found out that it also goes well with fresh grated Parmesan Cheese as well.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces penne rigate noodles
  • 4 - boneless chicken breast (chopped)
  • - olive oil for cooking
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 cup swiss cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 can mushroom stems and piecs
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons butter (melted)

How To Make savory chicken casserole

  • Step 1
    Cook Noodles
  • Step 2
    Cook Chicken,Onions,mushrooms and Garlic
  • Step 3
    Pre-Heat oven to 350 Degrees F.
  • Step 4
    Assemble noodles and Chicken in 9 x 12 Baking Dish
  • Step 5
    Mix together soup and milk in a bowl
  • Step 6
    Pour soup and milk mixture over the chicken and noodles then add cheese and mix well
  • Step 7
    Sprinkle Bread Crumbs over chicken mixture
  • Step 8
    Drizzle Butter over bread Crumbs
  • Step 9
    Cover with Aluminum Foil and Bake for 30 minutes
  • Step 10
    Turn oven to 275 Degrees F then Uncover and Bake for another 10 Minutes
