My friend and I had wanted to try a few new indian recipes we hadn't tried before, and this was one of our favorites. This creamy spinach sauce can be made with mixed vegtables,paneer, shrimp, lamb, fish, it doesn't have to be chicken. Its also very good just to dip naan in

Ingredients
- 3 pounds chicken pieces skinned
- 5 cloves garlic minced
- 2 large onions diced
- 2 large tomatoes crushed
- 1" - piece of ginger minced
- 4 tablespoons milk
- 4 bunches spinach washed and chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
- 1 teaspoon corriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, ground
- 2 large cardamon pods
- 2 - cloves
- 7 tablespoons vegtable oil
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
How To Make saag chicken

Step 1fry chicken in 4 tbs oil for 3-4 minutes, until lightly browned, set aside.

Step 2put the spinach in a deep pan, add 1/4 cup water bring to boil and remove from heat. Let cool, when cool , grind in blender and set aside.

Step 3heat remaining oil add ginger, garlic, onions saute till lightly browned. Add tomatoes, salt, cayenne, corriander, turmeric,cloves and cardomom.

Step 4Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of water, cook for 10 minutes over low heat.

Step 5Add chicken and milk, simmer until the chicken is tender.

Step 6Add spinach and garam masala.

Step 7Cook until spinach starts sticking to the pan. Remove from heat.

Step 8Add butter and cover until ready to serve.
