- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 6 bone-in chicken thighs
- 1 large onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons grated ginger root
- kosher salt and black pepper
- 2 cups chicken stock
- fresh parsley, for garnish
How To Make rustic slow cooked ginger chicken

Step 1Place the butter and oil in a skillet. Add the chicken, skin side down. Brown the chicken until the skin is golden. Transfer to a slow cooker.

Step 2Add the onion, garlic and ginger to the drippings in the skillet and cook until translucent. Add the chicken stock and bring to a boil.

Step 3Pour over the chicken and let cook on low for 6 hours.

Step 4Remove chicken and serve garnished with parsley.
