Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups chilled root beer
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
- 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
- 8 - skinless and boneless, chicken breast halves
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sweet and tangy seasoning
- 1 1/2 cups crushed corn flakes cereal
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon dried crushed thymes
How To Make root beer oven-fried chicken

Step 1Pour the root beer, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and pepper into a resealable plastic bag. Add the chicken breasts. Coat with the marinade. Squeeze out excess air and seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

Step 2Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.

Step 3In a medium bowl, combine flour and sweet and tangy seasoning, and mix well with a fork.

Step 4Place the crushed Corn Flake cereal in another resealable plastic bag and crush them into fine crumbs. Add Panko bread crumbs and themes and mix thoroughly.

Step 5Remove the chicken pieces from the marinade. Pour the marinade into the large mixing bowl and set aside.

Step 6Dip the chicken pieces with the flour mixture; mix well. Dip them dip them back into the remaining marinade.

Step 7Place them into the bag of Corn Flake crumbs mixture and shake to coat well.

Step 8Place the chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, until chicken juices run clear and the top is browned and crunchy.
