Ingredients

  • 4 bone in chicken thighs patted dry
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 medium sweet onion thinly sliced
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • salt and pepper

How To Make roasted chicken thigh w onions, garlic & honey

  • Step 1
    Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Preheat the oven 450 degrees. Place the chicken in a baking dish skin side up. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    In a saucepan add a little oil and add the onions and garlic season with a little salt and pepper. Cook until softened. Add the white wine, bay leaf, and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer and let simmer until almost all liquid has evaporated. Discard the cinnamon stick and bay leaf. Stir in the honey and butter. Pour over the top of the chicken.
  • Step 3
    Bake for about 30 minutes turning the chicken twice.
