Ingredients

Add to Grocery List

  • FOR CHICKEN PREP., YOU WIL NEED

  • 2 c
    chopped quater size chicken pieces
  • 2
    egg whites room temp.
  • 1/2 c
    corn starch
  • FOR KUNG PO SAUCE. YOU WIL NEED.

  • 1/2 c
    soy sauce, light
  • 1 stick
    sesame seed oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    orange juice, frozen concentrate
  • 1 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1or2
    shakes of cyanne pepper
  • 1/4 c
    agave syrup or honey
  • 1/4 c
    barbecue sauce
  • 2 clove
    garlic
  • 1 or 2 Tbsp
    grated ginger
  • 1 small
    scallion

How to Make Reethy's Kung Po Chicken

Step-by-Step

  1. heat oil to 360 F (for frying)
  2. Beat egg whites till frothy
  3. Add corn starch to egg mix just until incorperated together (do not deflate eggs)
  4. Add all chicken to egg mixture mix well,
  5. fry in oil until done and golden brown (aprox. 4 min.)

    drain chicken on paper towel, set aside
  6. In bowel mix ALL ingredient for sauce, mix well
  7. In clean skillet, (over medium heat) Add cooked chicken.
  8. Add sauce over chicken and heat to desired temp.

    Serve over your choice of rice.
