chicken thighs
2 large
onions chopped
6 clove
garlic minced
2 c
chicken stock
1/2 bottle
red wine good quality
1 c
mushrooms chopped

carrots sliced
6 oz
tomato paste

bay leaves
2 sprig(s)
each rosemary and thyme
1/2 c
fresh parsley chopped
2 Tbsp
oil
salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Red Wine Chicken Stew

Step-by-Step

  • 1Add oil to large skillet fry chicken until golden in batches remove from pan. Add onions and garlic and saute until softened. Add chicken back to pan.
  • 2Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and simmer 1 hour.
  • 3Remove bay leaves and sprigs of thyme and rosemary. Serve over mashed potatoes, rice or noodles
