1meanwhile in a pot cook until brown the tocino, ham and the rest of the ingredients as well as the sofrito. Put low heat so that all ingredients and sofrito is cooking and stir well until everything is cooked. Then add the gandules,water.
2Then in about 20 min. after you have put the ingredients in first step when boiled put in rice in high heat. Let water dry and stir it again and then cover the pot and put in low heat.
3Then check again about 30 min. stir it again and if its soft the rice that means its ready to serve. Buen Probecho!!!!!
