I would make this recipe for any friends that had a baby or some surgery. It was always a big hit and so easy to prepare. Makes a nice showing, just be sure to warn them that there are toothpicks holding the breasts together. One of my family's favorites.

chicken breast halves, skinless and boneless
4 slice
provalone cheese
4 slice
virginia ham (deli sliced)
1/4 c
butter, melted
1 c
italian bread crumbs
1/4 c
romano cheese, grated ( fresh is better than the green stuff)


1Pre heat oven to 350*. Pound chicken breasts to flatten. add 1 slice ham and 1 slice of provalone cheese to each breast. Roll up and hold together with a couple of toothpicks.
2dip each breast into the butter and roll in bread crumbs. Place on a sprayed baking pan. sprinkle each breast with a small amount of the shredded ramano cheese.
3Bake in 350* oven for aprox. 45 minutes till lightly browned and cheese is melting out the sides. (Juices flow clear)
