I learned this recipe when I was 15 and my family loved it. We serve a HUGE batch every year at the Family Reunion. It is quick and easy to make. Even my extremely picky daughter will eat this. Unfortunately, no picture yet

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 1 stick ritz crackers crushed
  • 1 stick butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds

How To Make poppy seed chicken

  • Step 1
    This serves 2-4 people and can easily be doubled. Preheat oven to 350.
  • Step 2
    Cut chicken into bite size pieces and bake in 350 oven until cooked.
  • Step 3
    Mix cream of chicken soup and sour cream in bowl and set aside.
  • Step 4
    Crush 1 stack ritz crackers and mix with melted butter and poppy seeds.
  • Step 5
    Drain chicken and replace in pan. Top with soup mixture. Then Sprinkle cracker mixture over top.
  • Step 6
    Bake in oven at 350 for 30 min or until bubbly. Wonderful alone or with sides. Excellent reheated as well.
