I learned this recipe when I was 15 and my family loved it. We serve a HUGE batch every year at the Family Reunion. It is quick and easy to make. Even my extremely picky daughter will eat this.

2 lb
boneless, skinless chicken cut into bite size pieces
1 can(s)
cream of chicken soup
1 can(s)
cream of celery soup
8 oz
sour cream
1 stick
ritz crackers crushed
1 stick
butter melted
1 Tbsp
poppy seeds

How to Make Poppy Seed Chicken


  • 1This serves 2-4 people and can easily be doubled.

    Preheat oven to 350.
  • 2Cut chicken into bite size pieces and bake in 350 oven until cooked.
  • 3Mix cream of chicken soup and sour cream in bowl and set aside.
  • 4Crush 1 stack ritz crackers and mix with melted butter and poppy seeds.
  • 5Drain chicken and replace in pan. Top with soup mixture. Then Sprinkle cracker mixture over top.
  • 6Bake in oven at 350 for 30 min or until bubbly. Wonderful alone or with sides.

    Excellent reheated as well.
