poppy seed chicken
(1 RATING)
This is a favorite of our family. It is requested every time our children come to visit. I leave out the almonds most of the time, just a personal preference for our family. This recipe freezes well and the leftovers heat up well. I put a lot of seasoning in the pot when I cook the chicken (bay leaf, garlic, onion, etc.)and that gives the dish a good flavor with the soups. You can also use cream of chicken soup if your family doesn't like cream of mushroom or cream of celery.
