Got this recipe from Lodge cook book. Made a few changs to the recipe. Witch now I call mine. great for camping.

Ingredients

  • 1 - chicken, whole,cut up & skinned.
  • - salt and pepper,to taste
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 3 cans 14-1/2 oz of pasta sauce
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 2 large cans mushrooms
  • teaspoon olive oil

How To Make pistol rock chiken

  • Step 1
    In a large zip-lock bag put chicken (pat dry first) pieces,flour,salt,pepper,and garicl powder. Seal and shake to mix well In a large dutch oven cook bacon till chrisp. Remove from oven,and set a side. Drain all dippings but 2 teaspoons.
  • Step 2
    To the oven add olive oil. Add chicken,and brown on all sides. Pour in 3cans of pasta sause,2 cans of mushrooms,and crumbled bacon. Spread over chicken. Simmer untill sause thickens,abought 1-1 &1/2 hours. Serve over rice or pasta.
