chicken breast halves, skinless and boneless
egg whites
2 tsp
2 Tbsp
lemon juice, fresh
1 c
panko bread crumbs
1 Tbsp
2 tsp
kosher salt
1/4 tsp
zest of 1 lemon
1 c
pecans, crushed

How to Make Pecan Crusted Chicken


  • 1Preheat oven to 450.
  • 2Blend egg whites, cornstarch and lemon (dipping mixture).
  • 3Combine remaining ingredients (crusting mixture).
  • 4Dip chicken breast in dipping mixture and then in crusting mixture.
  • 5Saute chicken in oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until golden brown and crisp.
  • 6Turn and brown on other side place on sheet pan and roast in oven until done about 8 minutes.
  • 7Test with meat thermometer until 165 degrees.
