Ingredients

  • 1
    whole 4 pound chicken, cut up
  • 1 c
    canned tomatoes
  • 1
    chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 small
    onion, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp
    paprika
  • 1
    clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    oregano
  • 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    sour cream

How to Make Paprika Chicken

Step-by-Step

  1. Put 1 1/2 cups water and all ingredients except flour and sour cream into crockpot.
  2. Stir to blend.
  3. Cover pot and cook on low for 9 to 10 hours until chicken is tender.
  4. Remove chicken pieces from cooker.
  5. Skim off fat.
  6. Turn control to high.
  7. Blend flour with 1/4 cup cooled juices from crockpot.
  8. Mix into liquid in cooker.
  9. Stir until thickened.
  10. Blend in sour cream.
  11. Return chicken to pot.
  12. Heat through, but do not boil.
  13. Serve with noodles.
