Ingredients

  • 1 - whole 4 pound chicken, cut up
  • 1 cup canned tomatoes
  • 1 - chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 - clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup sour cream

How To Make paprika chicken

  • Step 1
    Put 1 1/2 cups water and all ingredients except flour and sour cream into crockpot.
  • Step 2
    Stir to blend.
  • Step 3
    Cover pot and cook on low for 9 to 10 hours until chicken is tender.
  • Step 4
    Remove chicken pieces from cooker.
  • Step 5
    Skim off fat.
  • Step 6
    Turn control to high.
  • Step 7
    Blend flour with 1/4 cup cooled juices from crockpot.
  • Step 8
    Mix into liquid in cooker.
  • Step 9
    Stir until thickened.
  • Step 10
    Blend in sour cream.
  • Step 11
    Return chicken to pot.
  • Step 12
    Heat through, but do not boil.
  • Step 13
    Serve with noodles.
