Ingredients

  • 4 boneless chicken thighs pounded to be the same thickness all over
  • 2 tablespoons duck fat or oil
  • salt and pepper
  • THE SAUCE
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 cup each orange juice and chicken stock
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil and chili garlic sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fresh chopped chilies seeds removed

How To Make pan seared chicken thighs w hoisin sesame sauce

  • Step 1
    Add the duck fat or oil to a large skillet. Add salt and pepper to chicken. Sear the chicken on both sides for about 6 minutes. Remove the chicken to a plate and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Add the garlic to the drippings in the pan. Cook 30 seconds. Add the orange juice and deglaze the pan. Add the hoisin sauce, and chicken stock. Bring to a boil.
  • Step 3
    Reduce heat and add the chili sauce and fresh chilies. Add the chicken back to the pan with any juices. Add the sesame oil
  • Step 4
    Cook until chicken is fully done.
