This is one of children's favorite dishes!! When it comes out of the oven it looks, feels, and tastes just like real fried chicken!! The seasonings are added to the cracker crumbs so when the chicken is rolled, then cooked the flavoring from the seasons infuses itself into the meat!! Yum.. Try it and let me know how you like it!! The great thing about baking it the chicken is not having to worry about the added fat that comes from the oil. I use a low fat Country Crock and its best to use it out of the fridge seems to stick to the chicken better!! Enjoy!!

Ingredients

  • 3 pkg
    saltine crackers (crushed up)
  • 1/2 c
    butter (refrigerated country crock butter works great)
  • 1 pkg
    chicken legs, or drumettes (the kind in the bag is what i use but you can use any)
  • Tbsp
    your favorite seasonings(i use basil, paprika, season salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic salt)

How to Make Oven Fried, Fried Chicken!!! Yumm.....

Step-by-Step

  1. First combine seasonings, and cracker crumbs then take your chicken and rinse well, pat dry, now take your butter and give your chicken a good rub down with the butter until covered.
  2. Second, roll you chicken in the saltine crackers, season mix until fully coated.
  3. Third, bake your chicken in a preheated oven of 350 degrees on a greased cookie pan, for 1 hour. Serve with your favorite side dish.
